IFFI infrastructure to be created through PPP: Laxmikant Parsekar

"We have already started the process of creating infrastructure for IFFI. It would be created through PPP mode," Parsekar said in the state Assembly.

PANAJI: Goa Chief Minister Laxmikant Parsekar today said the infrastructure for hosting the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in the state would be built on Public Private Partnership (PPP) basis.

"We have already started the process of creating infrastructure for IFFI. It would be created through PPP mode," Parsekar said in the state Assembly.

Participating in a congratulatory motion, the Chief Minister said the IFFI infrastructure will be equipped with facilities like an entertainment zone.

Goa has been hosting IFFI since 2004 in the capital city of Panaji.

The state Assembly passed a motion congratulating Dinesh Bhosle, a Goa-based writer and director, for his movie "Enemy" winning the Best Konkani Film Award in the 63rd National Film Awards.

The motion was moved by BJP legislator Glenn Ticlo.
