MC Stan, Bigg Boss 16 winner, beats superstar Shah Rukh Khan in popularity

Bigg Boss 16 Winner MC Stan is on a record-breaking spree. Stan has now beaten bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan in terms of popularity on social media. Rapper MC Stan surpassed Shah Rukh Khan's Instagram live session record of around 255k views and set a new record.

As reported by BollywoodLife.com, Stan held an Instagram live session on Thursday which was watched by over 541K viewers. With this, Stan also surpassed all other Bigg Boss 16 contestants including Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Abdu Rozik and Archana Gautam.

He has also joined the global elite list of BTS member V, Jungkook, Drake, Nicki Minaj and Cristiano Ronaldo. BTS’ V and Jungkook’s Instagram live session earlier this month recorded over 900K views.


This is for the second time that Stan has broken a popularity record of a big bollywood celebrity. Earlier, Stan’s Bigg Boss 16 winning post with Salman Khan reportedly got record likes and even surpassed Indian star cricketer Virat Kohli’s posts in terms of popularity. Stan’s photo with Salman recorded over 7.4 million likes.

MC Stan won the 'Bigg Boss 16' trophy recently beating top five finalists -- Priyanka Chahar Choudhary, Shalin Bhanot, MC Stan, Shiv Thakare, and Archana Gautam.

Along with the winner's trophy, he received a car and prize money totalling Rs 31.80 lakh.

Stan, whose real name is Altaf Tadavi, began singing in public when he was 12. Not much has been reported about his family but his humble origins - he grew up in a slum in Pune city - have been central to his writing.
