KKR’s CEO Venky Mysore to head Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies as well
Venky Mysore will take over the additional responsibility of running the Bollywood actor’s production house Red Chillies Entertainment as its chief executive officer.
“Venky has done a fantastic job as the CEO of KKR and I am confident that he will be able to lead Red Chillies to a much higher level of performance and professionalism,” Shah Rukh Khan said.
Red Chillies, founded by SRK and his wife Gauri Khan in 2004 after transforming earlier venture Dreamz Unlimited, has so far produced 10 films and co-produced five films. Its visual effects, or VFX, vertical is considered among the best in business and has been involved in projects of other studios, the latest being Kamal Haasan's Vishwaroopam.
Mysore has more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry across the US, Canada and Asia. He has been heading KKR since October 2010 and helped the team that won the latest edition of IPL become a profitable business.
“I look forward to this exciting challenge (of leading Red Chillies) as we strive hard to build a world class organization,” he said.
