CHENNAI: In an effort to placate Muslim groups protesting against Kamal Haasan’s Vishwaroopam, the actor on Saturday said that certain scenes from the film will be cut and certain audio portions will also be deleted after informing the Censor Board.

“I told the Censor Board about the Tamil Nadu ban may help Vishwaroopam up north scenes that I will cut from Vishwaroopam,” Kamal Haasan told reporters after his meeting with the Muslim groups.

“I will try and get Vishwaroopam released in Tamil Nadu as soon as possible and the release date will be announced very soon,” Haasan said. There won't be any more protests on Vishwaroopam as the issue has been resolved, Muslim groups said after talks with Haasan.

The meeting between Muslim groups, Haasan and state home secretary R Rajagopal on Friday did not take place as the Muslim groups insisted on the actor’s presence.
