LONDON: A waxwork of Michael Jackson which the 'King of Pop' personally endorsed before his death will be unveiled at Hollywood's new Madame Tussauds.

The figure was being made in London to mark the debut of his comeback 'This Is It' concerts in July which got cancelled due to the sudden death of pop icon on June 25.

The waxwork which will be unveiled today is lifelike replica of the pop star wearing clothes identical to the wardrobe he was planning to wear onstage for the show, Contactmusic reported.

Madame Tussauds bosses were keen to complete work on the waxwork which was kept on ice following Jackson's death.

The work was resumed soon so that the figure worth USD 300,000 could be unveiled in Los Angeles in time to commemorate singer's 51st birthday on August 29.
