Indian film festival in Canada to begin this week

A fortnight-long Indian film festival to commemorate the 60th anniversary of India's independence will kick start from Aug 11 in Ottawa.

TORONTO: A fortnight-long Indian film festival to commemorate the 60th anniversary of India's independence will kick start from Aug 11 in Ottawa.

Leading Bollywood couple Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan's "Guru" will receive a red carpet welcome at the festival.

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan's hit movies "Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham" and "Kabhi Haan Kabhi Na" will also feature in the festival organised by the Indian High Commission in Cooperation with Canadian Film Institute. "Rang De Basanti", "Tara Rum Pum" and "Thanmathra" would also be shown during the festival that concludes on August 26.
