ESPN Star Sports announces mgt appointments

NEW DELHI: ESPN Software India on Wednesday announced appointments in senior management positions and said it has appointed Vijay Rajput as COO.

Rajput would be responsible for handling the finance, administration, HR and legal divisions at ESPN and also be involved in the strategic management of the company, an ESPN Star Sports release said.

Sricharan Iyengar has been appointed vice president and business head of the consumer business group and emerging technologies.

He would lead the company into the emerging technologies of mobile, wireless and internet, besides continuing to handle consumer marketing and Direct to consumer services of DTH/broadband and IPTV, it added.

Rajesh Kaul has been appointed vice president, affiliate sales.
