Dish TV CEO Anil Dua Quits

DishTV India CEO Anil Dua has quit after a six-year stint with the direct-to-home (DTH) company. DishTV's COO has been appointed as the CEO-designate to replace Dua.

Dua would be at the helm for three more months to ensure a smooth transition for Dobhal, who would be the CEO-Designate until the requisite regulatory approval from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting for his appointment is received.

The company's board has advised DishTV management to seek the I&B ministry's approval for Dobhal's appointment.


"After a successful six-year stint, Anil Dua, CEO, DishTV India Limited, today put forward his request to move on to the Board of Directors of the Company," DishTV said in a regulatory filing.

Dua was instrumental in steering the company through the complex merger with Videocon D2H and the post-merger processes.

In a career spanning 24 years, Dobhal has worked in various operational and strategic roles at the pan-India level.
