Dhurandhar: The Revenge, the sequel to the hit spy action film, has clocked over one million advance bookings at PVR INOX, India's largest multiplex chain, ahead of its worldwide release on March 19 signalling strong early audience interest in what is shaping up to be one of the biggest theatrical openings of the year.

In a bid to maximise access and build opening-weekend momentum, PVR INOX has scheduled exclusive paid preview screenings on March 18, a full day before the film's official release at select premium auditoriums across the country. Preview seats have already sold out at several locations, the multiplex chain said in a press release.

The film's pan-India, multi-language strategy appears to be paying off. Dhurandhar: The Revenge is releasing simultaneously in five languages Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam with PVR INOX noting that bookings across all language versions are contributing equally to the overall numbers, reflecting broad regional appeal rather than dependence on a single linguistic market.

Demand is concentrated in the five major metros Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Hyderabad, and Chennai but PVR INOX said it is also seeing strong traction in Tier-II cities including Pune, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Coimbatore. The company, which operates 1,798 screens across 359 properties in 113 cities in India and Sri Lanka, said its nationwide footprint is enabling audiences in both urban and emerging markets to access the film on state-of-the-art screens.

Our nationwide network is fully ready to deliver an excellent viewing experience, from metros to Tier-II cities."

Trailer views and early audience feedback suggest interest cutting across demographics families, young adults, and action enthusiasts, a profile that bodes well for sustained occupancy beyond the opening weekend. Social media conversations around #Dhurandhar has been building steadily, with audiences drawing comparisons to the original film's success in elevating the spy action genre.

Tickets for both preview screenings and regular shows are available on the PVR INOX website at pvrcinemas.com and on the mobile app, with options for seat selection and group bookings.
