Bollywood actor Feroze Khan dies
Popular Bollywood actor and filmmaker Feroze Khan, whose Bollywood career spanned more than four decades, died Monday after battling lung cancer.
Khan, who made a career playing the leading role of a swashbuckling and westernized man, had suffered from lung cancer for a year and had been in and out of hospitals for several months, his younger brother Sanjay Khan said.
He died at his farmhouse in the southern Indian city of Bangalore on Monday and was buried in a Muslim ceremony, Khan said.
His biggest hit was the film ``Qurbani,'' or ``Sacrifice,'' and he had most recently appeared in the 2007 movie ``Welcome.''
Khan is survived by a son, Fardeen Khan, also a well-known actor, and daughter Laila Khan Rajpal. His brothers Sanjay and Akbar Khan are both actors and filmmakers.
