BIG CBS Networks ropes in BIG TV as its distribution channel

MUMBAI: BIG CBS Networks, a television JV between Anil Ambani-led Reliance Broadcast and CBS Studios, has tied-up with Reliance ADA Group's direct-to-home service BIG TV (RBTV) as its distribution channel.

As part of the deal, BIG TV will distribute the three premium English entertainment channels of BIG CBS -- Prime, Spark and Love on its platform.

"With a reach of around 30-lakh digital television homes across India and cashing-in on group synergy, BIG TV was one of the most desirous and natural choices for BIG CBS. Our endeavour is to reach the exclusive and best-in-line content of BIG CBS, to maximum relevant audiences across the country and this partnership marks the beginning," BIG Broadcasting's COO, Ashutosh, said in a press release here on Friday.

Meanwhile, Reliance DTH and IPTV, CEO, Sanjay Behl, said the partnership with BIG CBS brings great value to the viewers as BIG CBS is backed with world-class entertainment content expertise generating top rated programs consistently.

"The three to-be-launched channels will offer an envious program line-up with some of the flagship shows being telecast in India almost concurrent to that of the US," Behl said.
