Bengali screen entertainer 'Paglu' a runaway hit
The movie, starring Dev and Koel Mullick, has already surpassed gross collections of Rs 5 crore.
"The audio CDs of the have been produced by Sree Venkatesh’s music arm, V Music. Some song sequences and scenes have been shot in Switzerland and Milan," Venkatesh spokesperson Ahana Kanjilal, told ET.
Sree Venkatesh distrbution head, Debasis Sarkar added, "Paglu released in 166 theatres across Bengal in the first week. The second week has seen the number of theatres rising to 169. The movie is running in 17 theatres in Kolkata. The gross collections till Monday’s (June 13) matinee show have crossed Rs 5 crore."
The movie, Sarkar said, is certain to run on the trot for 50 days in Kolkata and the suburbs. "The film is a super entertainer. It is extremely well packaged, whether it is songs, drama and action. Paglu is such a hit in Bengal, that even Salman Khan’s Ready is relegated to second or third place in this region," Sarkar said. Incidentally, Ready released on the same day as Paglu.
