Autodesk Media to focus on training
Autodesk Media and Entertainment, a division of Autodesk, has turned its focus on training and is keen to help bring world-class training to Indian students.
It is in the process of identifying educational institutions, including engineering colleges and film institutes, to enable the latter to establish training facilities. On its part, Autodesk will create the required courseware and curriculum, besides equipping the trainers with the latest software.
“We will facilitate institutions by providing the required training to start training institutes. And we feel, the curriculum and training are in need, while financing the technology infrastructure could be managed, as educational institutions have the necessary capabilities,” Mr Pankaj Kedia, regional manager - Systems, South East Asia and India for Autodesk India told ET.
Mr Kedia was in the city to participate in a three day exhibition to highlight the emerging trends in the film industry on the technology side. Established in 1999, Autodesk Media and Entertainment provides content creation, distribution and management software tools used by digital artists in post-production.
