Amitabh Bachchan to inaugurate 19th kolkata International Film Festival in November

KOLKATA: Amitabh Bachchan will inaugurate the 19-th Kolkata International Film Festival on November 10. This is for the second time that the megastar will be inaugurating the film festival in Kolkata. Last year too, Bachchan had inaugurated the show.

Chief minister Mamata Banerjee expressed pleasure over Bachchan's assurance given to her government to be present at the film festival and inaugurate the same. The chief minister has said in a social networking site ( Facebook) on Friday that ""I am very happy and delighted to share with you all, that Shri Amitabh Bachchan ji, a great legend, has kindly accepted our invitation to inaugurate the 19th Kolkata International Film Festival to be held on 10th November, 2013.
I am also so pleased and obliged to learn that he is making efforts to bring along with him Jayaji, Abhishek and Aishwarya to this global event in Kolkata, for which we a...re eagerly waiting to welcome the 'film family'. May God bless Amitabh ji and his family. Amitabh Bachchan ji is phenomenon. His iconic personality and his august presence in the Film Festival once again, will surely make the occasion spectacular and magnificent. We are all looking forward to this mega event.""

It is learnt that another super star Shahrukh Khan whom Mamata had appointed as Bengal's brand ambassador, will also attend the show. Apart from Bachchan and Shahrukh, all the prominent film personalities from the state are likely to attend the international show in November.
