99Games to develop new game based on Salman Khan's next flick 'Sultan'

BENGALURU: Mobile games developer 99Games has partnered with Yash Raj Films to create a game around Salman Khan’s next film ‘ Sultan’, two months before its planned release during the Eid.

“We are expecting around 15 million downloads within four months of releasing the game,” said Rohith Bhat, founder of Udupi-based 99Games.

The game, which is being developed at a cost of around Rs 1 crore, will target 75% of the Indian population, he said. The Kalaari Capital and Ascent Capital-backed gaming company had recently inked a multi-year deal with Yash Raj Films as exclusive publisher of a game revolving around Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, ‘Fan’.
