Welspun Corp arm wins Rs 4,000 crore order for supply of pipes; shares jump 4%

Welspun's US subsidiary Welspun Tubular LLC received the order for the supply of High-Frequency Induction Welded (HFIW) pipes, which will be manufactured at the its newly upgraded HFIW mill at Little Rock, USA. This marks the unit's largest order in history, in terms of volume, length and value.
Welspun Corp share price rose by more than 4% following the announcement. Shares of Welspun Corp Ltd were trading at Rs 2,810.65 per scrip as at 12:44 after a Rs 116.05 hike per script (+4.31%).
The order will be executed during FY28 and FY29, it said in a regulatory filing.
Following this largest order, Welspun Corp's global order book stands at a record Rs 45,000 crore, marking he largest one in history.
"This order underscores the scale, quality and execution capability of the Company's operations, and reinforces its long-term strategy of expanding global manufacturing capacity and deepening relationships with marquee international clients," it said.
