GWALIOR: Two new steel plants will be set up at Ujjain and Hoshangabad in Madhya Pradesh, Union Minister for Steel and Chemicals Ramvilas Paswan said on Tuesday.

Referring to rising inflation, he said that everybody should make efforts to control it without indulging in politics over the issue.

"Two new steel plants will be established at Ujjain and Hoshangabad. Besides, another steel plant would be set up in Gwalior if the state government made available land," Paswan told reporters here en-route to Dabra town to take part in a farmers' convention organised by public sector National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL).

He said his ministry will not increase the prices of fertilizers, which are being provided to farmers at cheaper rates through imports.

On the prospects of his Lok Janshakti Party in Madhya Pradesh, he said in the Assembly polls due later this year, the outift will give "amazing" results and wipe out Bahujan Samaj Party from the state.
