Tata Steel sells 2.3 million tonne of steel in Q2 ended September 30

KOLKATA: Tata Steel sold 2.3 million tonne (mt) of steel in the second quarter ended September 30, 2015 up 11% from 2.1 mt it sold in the previous corresponding period.

For the half year ended September 30, 2015 it sold 4.4 mt of saleable steel, which is 6% higher compared to 4.2 mt sold in H1 last year.

The company said it produced 2.4 mt of saleable steel in Q2 FY'16 , a 9% increase over 2.2 mt in a statement Q2 FY'15.

For the half yearly period (April- September 2015), it produced 4.6 mt of saleable steel, which is 4% higher compared to 4.4 mt produced in the same period last year.
