Tata Steel Q1 production up by 28%
Tata Steel on Monday reported sale of 1.12 million tonnes of steel during the first quarter ended June of the current fiscal, registering an increase of 28 per cent over the corresponding period of the last year.

KOLKATA: Tata Steel on Monday reported sale of 1.12 million tonnes of steel during the first quarter ended June of the current fiscal, registering an increase of 28 per cent over the corresponding period of the last year.
The sale of auto sector steel also rose by 32 per cent to 0.19 million tonnes. While, Tata Tiscon branded rebars also registered rise of 42 per cent during the period over last year.
Hot Metal production was at 1.31 million tonnes and crude steel production at 1.21 million tonnes was higher by 8.2 and 9.4 per cent during the period under review.
Saleable steel production was at 1.11 million tonnes registering 17 per cent rise during the first quarter over the corresponding period last year.
