Tata Steel launches safety mascot 'Jeevan'

Tata Steel’s resolution to produce ‘injury free steel’ took a step forward with launch of its safety mascot – Jeevan -- which has been conceptualised based on suggestions from the company’s employees.

The mascot is a human-like creation adorned with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) like goggles, helmet, safety shoes and jackets – the gear which is mandatory to be put on before entering the steel works.

It will serve as a reminder to ensure safety at all levels of work in the organisation.
