Tata Steel hires 40 diploma engineers before steel mill launch
The new recruits, who were selected in line with Tata Steel's selection process, will join Kalinganagar Project on September 1, 2014.
The steel major becomes the first private company to collaborate with the Central Placement Cell of DTET and in a central recruitment drive selected fresh diploma engineers from premium government diploma engineering schools and polytechnics of the state.
This is an initiative to attract meritorious students of the state and offer them a platform to build their career and be a part of the industrialisation process of the state, a company release said.
The selected candidates were handed over appointment letters by Chandra Shekhar Kumar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, Employment and Technical Education and Training Department in presence of Parthasarathi Mishra, Chief, HRM, Kalinganagar Project, Tata Steel.
The new recruits, who were selected in line with Tata Steel's selection process, will join Kalinganagar Project on September 1, 2014.
Mishra said: "We are committed to take the state to greater heights while generating direct and indirect job opportunities for the youths of Odisha by leveraging local talents."
