Tata Steel gets energy conservation award

Tata Steel's chrome ore beneficiation plant at Sukinda Chromite Mine has bagged the second prize in National Energy Conservation Award-2014 in mining category.

BHUBANESWAR: Tata Steel's chrome ore beneficiation plant at Sukinda Chromite Mine has bagged the second prize in National Energy Conservation Award-2014 in mining category.

The awards were given by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency under the Ministry of Power.

The award is given to nationally recognised selected industrial units which have made systematic and serious attempts for efficient utilisation and conservation of energy, a company release said today.

The award was presented by Union Power Minister Piyush Goyal during the National Energy Conservation Day function held recently at New Delhi, it added.
