Tata Steel donates for electric furnace installation

JAMSHEDPUR: Tata Steel has donated Rs one crore for the installation of electric furnace in burning ghats in the steel city here.

Keeping in view the growing demand for electric crematorium to perform the last rites of the deceased, Tata Steel has provided financial assistance of Rs 49 Lakh to Subarnarekha Burning Ghat committee for installation of 3rd Electric Furnace at Subarnarekha Burning Ghat in Sakchi here.

Besides, Tata Steel also donated Rs 50 Lakh for installation of the 2nd Electric Furnace crematorium facility under Harivartan project of Parvati Ghat in Bistupur here, a Tata Steel press release today said.
