Tata Steel AGM postponed to Aug 29

Tata Steel postpones AGM to August 29 due to delay in government approvals.

NEW DELHI: Tata Steel on Wednesday said it has rescheduled its Annual General Meeting (AGM) to August 29 from July 18 fixed earlier.

"Arising from a number of factors including delay in receiving approval from the Union Government and exempting the company from attaching the account of its subsidiaries in the annual account," a Tata Steel spokesman said.

Printing and dispatch of annual report to shareholders was also delayed as additional information had to be included since this was the centenary year of the company, he said.

"Accordingly, in the best interest of shareholders, the board of directors rescheduled the AGM to August 29," he added.
