Sudhir Kumar to head Steel Authority of India's IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur

KOLKATA: Sudhir Kumar, Executive Director(Finance & Accounts) will be heading Steel Authority of India's IISCO Steel Plant at Burnpur as Executive Director In Charge. A qualified Charted Accountant, Kumar joined SAIL in 1981 at Rourkela Steel Plant where he established his financial acumen in different areas of Finance and Accounts.

In 2000 he was transferred to the SAIL Corporate Office, New Delhi where he rose to become GM in the year 2008, playing crucial role in Corporate Finance. In 2011 he was elevated to the post of Executive Director and given the charge of heading the Finance & Accounts Dept at IISCO Steel Plant, Burnpur. Kumar was instrumental in managing the Project Finance of ISP’s modernization and expansion project at a crucial phase.
