Siemens receives `three-digit-million-euro' order from SAIL
Siemens VAI Metals Technologies has received a 'three-digit-million-euro' order from Steel Authority of India to supply turnkey process technology to the steel major's new cold rolling mill at the Bokaro Steel Plant.
"The cold rolling mill will have a capacity of around 1.3 million metric tons per year and is scheduled to take up production in 2010," Siemens said in a release here.
Siemens would be responsible for design, engineering, supply, installation and commissioning of the core lines of the new cold mill plant, which includes a coupled tandem picking line, a hot-dip galvanising line and an electrolytic strip cleaning line, it said.
"The contract also covers installation, supervision, commissioning and intensive customer training," the release added.
