Saria prices softened on the local iron and steel market today owing to reduced offtake and closed in negative zone.

NEW DELHI: Saria prices softened on the local iron and steel market today owing to reduced offtake and closed in negative zone.

Elsewhere, other steel prices continued to be asked around previous levels.

Traders said slowdown in construction activity against adequate stocks position mainly brought down saria prices.

In the saria section, Amba 8-mm, 10-mm and 12-mm were quoted lower at Rs 30,700, Rs 30,000 and Rs 29,300 per tone respectively. 16-25-mm followed suit and traded weak at Rs 30,100 a tone.

Similarly, Amba shakti 8-mm,10-mm and 12-mm were also lost Rs 200 each at Rs 31,100, Rs 30,400 and Rs 29,500 per tone respectively.
