SAIL gets coveted award for contribution in public sector
The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been chosen for the prestigious 'Scope award for excellence and outstanding contribution to the public sector management' 2006-07, Rourkela Steel Plant.

ROURKELA: The Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) has been chosen for the prestigious 'Scope award for excellence and outstanding contribution to the public sector management' 2006-07, Rourkela Steel Plant sources said here today.
SAIL had earlier got the award in 2004-05. Instituted by the Standing Conference of Public Enterprises (SCOPE), the apex body of public sector organisations, a golden trophy is given to the recipient of the award.
The award is given in recognition of the contribution of public enterprises as well as of individuals for their 'outstanding' vision and leadership quality in creating national wealth.
SAIL had also got the Special Scope award in the turnaround category in 2003-04.
