SAIL director visits RSP

ROURKELA: SAIL director Dr Vinaysheel Gautam and N Vijay Lakshmi, deputy secretary in the ministry of Steel, visited the Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) and discussed its expansion plan with senior officials.

Both of them visited the plant units like ore bedding and blending plant, sinter plant-ii, blast furnace, hot strip mill and silicon steel mill yesterday and interacted with the officers and employees about the various performance parameters and the technology being used in these areas, RSP sources said.

They had a meeting with senior officers in presence of managing director B N Singh and discussed about the future expansion of the plant.

While appreciating the remarkable performance of RSP in recent times, Gautam advised the senior officers to look at the most appropriate future strategy keeping in mind the highly competitive scenario in the industry, the sources said.
