RSP bags prestigious OHSAS certificate

ROURKELA: Rourkela Steel Plant ( RSP) bagged the prestigious OHSAS 18001-2007 Certificate for occupational Health and Safety standards.

Occupational Helalth and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS) certification deals with occupational health and safety conditions and factors that affect the well-being of employees, temporary workers, contractor personnel, visitors and any other persons in the work place.

The total quality management department of RSP along with the safety engineering department and medical and health services departments, implemented the systems.

The certification will help RSP in further streangthening its safety procedures, fine tuning the testing of various electrical and mechanical systems, providing greater impetus to health check up of employees and further improving the review system.

Managing director of RSP, SN Singh congratulated the employees for achieving the success and said the plant will build up streangth and touch new heights of success in the days to come.
