Rourkela Steel Plant bags Srishti Good Green Governance Award

ROURKELA: Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has bagged the prestigious Srishti Good Green Governance Award for 2010.

The award was conferred on RSP in recognition of its eco-friendly efforts to reduce pollutants and green house gas emissions and effluent discharge, as well as measures to optimise waste utilisation and water conservation and expand green and corporate social responsibility initiatives.

Srishti Publication, a publishing house, has been publishing the magazine, " Creativity in Nature", and " Prakriti ke roop rang", which have won acclaim from national and international agencies.

The award was declared on the occasion of Earth Day on April 22, 2011, at New Delhi, RSP sources said here today.

RSP Managing Director S N Singh congratulated employees for the success and said, "RSP is steadfast in its commitment to preserve and replenish natural resources."
