Roongta named SAIL's acting chairman

NEW DELHI: The Government on Tuesday appointed S K Roongta as Steel Authority of India Ltd's acting chairman.

Roongta, who is the company's Director Commercial, was given the additional charge of SAIL's acting Chairman after V S Jain retired from the post yesterday, a company spokesperson said.

A decision on the appointment of a new Chairman by the government is expected later this month, he said.
