Reheating furnace at Rastriya Ispat Nigam Limited commissioned
The reheating furnace of the newly built structural mill at Rastriya Ispat Nigam Ltd has been commissioned by Steel Secretary Rakesh Singh.
The structural mill had been constructed at a cost of Rs 1,260 crores as part of expansion of 6.3 mtpa (million ton per annum) capacity.
The high speed, two-high compact mill with 17 rolling stands, will produce 7 lakh structurals per annum in the product mix of medium, light, junior channels/beams, equal and unequal angles, flats, rounds and squares.
The Danieli ( Italy) & Micco constructed the mill with latest technology, according to a release here today.
Joint Secretary, Ministry of Steel, Lokesh Chandra, Chairman and managing director VSP, P Madhusudan, directors and union leaders were present at function held yesterday.
Singh also visited various production units as well as Arunodaya Special School built under CSR initiative of RINL.
