PIL alleges misuse of SAIL's funds by Paswan

LUCKNOW: A PIL alleging misuse of funds of Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) by Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan was filed in the Allahabad High Court on Tuesday.

The PIL, filed before the Lucknow Bench of the Court, also sought a special audit of the company by the CAG.

The petition, filed by a local lawyer, alleged Paswan misused SAIL's funds for his personal use and comfort.

It sought a direction to the SAIL to recover the entire amount from the Minister with interest.

The PIL, which also sought his disqualification from Lok Sabha, is likely to come up for hearing on Thursday.
