Nerukar moves up at Tata Steel
Tata Steel on Friday announced the appointment of Mr HM Nerukar as chief operating officer (steel), with effect from September 1, 2007.

KOLKATA: Tata Steel on Friday announced the appointment of Mr HM Nerukar as chief operating officer (steel), with effect from September 1, 2007. In his new role, Mr Nerukar will report to the deputy managing director (steel).
An old hand at Tata Steel, Mr Nerukar joined the company in 1972 in the R&D division and rose to the position of deputy general manager (steel and primary mills).
He then moved to the marketing function in 1997 as director of marketing before being appointed as general manager (marketing). Mr Nerukar was appointed as VP (flat products) in 2002 after which he moved on to be VP (Kalinganagar project & technology) in 2006, a position that he currently holds.
