Kanishk steel posts 192% jump in net profit
Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd on Wednesday said it has posted a a whopping 192 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 4.83 crore in 2005-06 fiscal as against Rs 1.65 crore during the previous year.
CHENNAI: City-based structural steel items manufacturer Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd on Wednesday said it has posted a a whopping 192 per cent jump in net profit at Rs 4.83 crore in 2005-06 fiscal as against Rs 1.65 crore during the previous year.
The turnover for the fiscal was Rs 273.93 crore as against Rs 163.54 crore in 2004-05, a growth of 67 per cent, a company release said here.
"The demand from the regional construction industry has contributed to a major part of our growth this past year. With an upswing in the infrastructural growth and continuing real estate boom, we look forward to improving our performance," company Chairman and Managing Director Ravi Gupta was quoted as saying in the release.
The company has been recently awarded the ISO 9001:2000 certification for the manufacture and supply of TMT bars and structural at its Gummidipoondi facility, near here.
