Kanishk Steel bags ISO certification
Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd, a city-based company, on Wednesday said it has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification for manufacturing high quality TMT and structural steel items at its suburban Gummidipoondi facility.

CHENNAI: Kanishk Steel Industries Ltd, a city-based company, on Wednesday said it has been awarded ISO 9001:2000 certification for manufacturing high quality TMT and structural steel items at its suburban Gummidipoondi facility.
"This certification confirms the quality of our services and operations, and underscores the value we create for our clients. The ISO certification affirms the value of Kanishk's quality, philosophy and systems," the company's chairman Ravi Gupta said in a release here.
Kanishk's certification audit was done by ICRS Management Systems and included audit of areas of management, production, quality and training, he said.
Kanishk Steel is part of OPG Enterprises Group and has established steel related business in Chennai, Salem and Mayavaram in Tamil Nadu.
The company has a turn over of Rs 163.53 crore and the group has a business turn over of Rs 500 crore.
