JSW Steel's crude steel production up 13 pc in Jan
JSW Steel on Tuesday reported a 13 per cent increase in crude steel production at 2.92 lakh tons in January, as compared to 2.58 lakh tons for the same month last year.

MUMBAI: JSW Steel on Tuesday reported a 13 per cent increase in crude steel production at 2.92 lakh tons in January, as compared to 2.58 lakh tons for the same month last year.
Production of HR Coils was up by four per cent at 2.43 lakh tons in January 2008, as against 2.33 lakh tons in the corresponding month last year, it said in a release here.
HR Coils, HR Plates and Pre-painted GI production increased by 4 per cent, 54 per cent and 61 per cent respectively at 2.43 lakh tons, 0.26 lakh tons and 0.07 lakh tons during the month.
Galvanised steel production, however, fell marginally by two per cent at 0.58 lakh tons for the said month, JSW Steel said.
