KOLKATA: Jessop & Co Ltd on Tuesday reported an 11 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 11.07 crore for 2006-07.
The total income increased to Rs 83.92 crore during 2006-07 as compared to Rs 78.67 crore registered during the corresponding period last year.
Jessop Chairman P K Ruia said wagon production by the company grew by 153 per cent during the year.
The company has forayed into steel apart from its core activity in the railway market. "We hope to generate about 10 per cent of our total revenue from the new area," he said.
The company declared a dividend of 10 per cent for the year.
