James Leng steps down from Tata Steel's board

Tata Steel on Wednesday said that Mr James Leng has formally stepped down from the board of the steel company, with effect from July 7.

MUMBAI: Tata Steel on Wednesday said that Mr James Leng has formally stepped down from the board of the steel company, with effect from July 7.

The company didn't provide reasons for Mr Leng's exit.

Mr Leng was earlier chairman of Corus, a company that Tata Steel had acquired in 2007. Mr Leng last year was appointed as head of mining major Rio Tinto, but later stepped down from that position also.
