Government appoints Dinesh Kumar Likhi as Chairman & MD of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited

KOLKATA: Dinesh Kumar Likhi has been appointed as Chairman & Managing Director of Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited (MIDHANI), a mini ratna company under the ministry of defence with effect from September 1, 2015. He has been serving the company as Director (Production & Marketing) prior to his appointment to the top job.

During his tenure at MIDHANI since 2011, Dr Likhi has ensured successful growth oriented projects and long term business agreements for procurement of critical raw materials such as Titanium sponge, Nickel etc., required for production.

He is also credited with an increase in the company's sales turnover, which is set to cross Rs 700 crore this year from its earlier level of Rs 418 crore earlier.

Likhi is a gold medallist in Metallurgical Engineering from IIT Roorkee and ME in Industrial Metallurgy from NIT Rourkela.
