Electrosteel Steels to market its products from September12

KOLKATA: Electrosteel Steels Limited (ESL), which has set up a greenfield steel and plant in Jharkhand, plans to sell finished products like pig iron (steel and foundry grade) and TMT bars in the market from September, 2012. Initially, ESL plans to focus on the eastern region for marketing its products and gradually increase its marketing base all across the country. The company said it has already established its marketing network all across the country.

Electrosteel Steels also said it will re-start production from September, 2012 after synchronization of its production modules. This includes a Sinter Plant, Coke Over, Blast Furnace, Steel Making Shop, Pig Caster Machine, Rolling Mill, etc.

ESL, an associate company of Electrosteel Group, pioneer in ductile iron (DI) pipes market, is investing in a 2.2 million tonne per annum (mtpa) greenfield integrated steel & DI pipe plant in Jharkhand to produce 1.2 mtpa long products, 0.27 mtpa commercial billets, 0.4 mtpa pig iron & 0.33 mtpa DI pipes. The proposed plant will be based on Coke Oven, Sinter Plant, Pellet Plant, Blast Furnace, Basic Oxygen Furnace, Billet Caster, Wire Rod Mill and Bar Mill. The Group has been allotted Parbatpur captive mine block for coking coal in Jharia Coalfields, near Bokaro with total geological coal reserves is 231 million tonne.
