Durgapur Steel plant gets new MD

NEW DELHI: State-run Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) has appointed V Shyamsundar as the new managing Director of its Durgapur Steel Plant.

Shyamsundar, prior to his appointment, was the Executive Director (Corporate planning) in SAIL and formulated the company's corporate plan-2012 during his tenure, a satement from SAIL said.

He also played a vital role in the merger of Indian iron and Steel Company's with SAIL, it said.
