Corus raises prices for mill plate, advance sections

Corus Group, the UK steelmaker acquired by Tata Steel Ltd, said it will raise prices for reversing mill plate and structural sections as demand for the products grows.

LONDON: Corus Group, the UK steelmaker acquired by Tata Steel Ltd, said it will raise prices for reversing mill plate and structural sections as demand for the products grows.
"Corus is experiencing healthy levels of demand for sections and plates both in the UK and globally," company spokesman said on Wednesday.
Prices will rise by 20 pounds ($39.55) a tonne and will be effective from July 1, the London-based company said.
