All 12 quality circles of RSP bag Gold Award in 22nd CCQC

ROURKELA: All the 12 quality circles representing Rourkela steel Plant ( RSP) have won the Gold Award in the 22nd Chapter Convention on Quality Concepts-2014 (CCQC) organised by Quality Circle Forum of India (QCFI), Rourkela Chapter.

These circles are Think Square of OBBP, Synergy of Coke Ovens, Sanjeevani of Blast Furnaces, Prayas and Mission of SMS-I, Panchratna and Naya Kiran of SMS-II, Sanjivanee and Universal of HSM, Drustanta of ERWPP, Vazra of Roll Shop and Vision of E & ES, RSP sources said today.

The Sanjivanee team from Hot Strip Mill of RSP also won JK Dash memorial trophy along with Basundhara team of OCL India, Rajgangpur.

It is noteworthy that the 22nd CCQC - 2014 was held recentlyu at Bhanja Bhawan here. In all 92 Quality circles, including 12 from RSP, consisting of more than 550 members and delegates from 23 organizations participated in the convention, the RSP release said.

This is the highest participation since inception of the programme with companies like NTPC, NALCO, Vedanta, OCL, HINDALCO, NSPCL and Bhilai Steel Plant participating in the event.
