CPCL Q4 net up over six fold at Rs 189 cr

Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) on Friday posted an over six-fold increase in net profit at Rs 189.09 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 29.26 crore for the same quarter last year.

MUMBAI: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Ltd (CPCL) on Friday posted an over six-fold increase in net profit at Rs 189.09 crore for the fourth quarter ended March 31, as compared to Rs 29.26 crore for the same quarter last year.
The total income (net of excise) increased 4.21 per cent to Rs 5,758.99 crore for the quarter ended March 31 from Rs 5,526.19 crore for the corresponding quarter a year ago, CPCL informed the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
The board of directors at its meeting today declared a dividend of 120 per cent on the equity share capital of the company.
For the year ended March 31, CPCL recorded a net profit of Rs 565.27 crore as compared to Rs 480.96 crore for the period under consideration last year.
The total income of the company (net of excise) grew to Rs 24,758.78 crore during the year from Rs 21,169.25 crore for the corresponding period of the previous year.
The shares of the company closed at Rs 216.10, up 0.39 per cent on BSE.
