Polyfoam launches low cost and innovative inflatable water tanks

KOLKATA: Kolkata based water tank manufacturer Polyfoam is all set to launch expandable water tanks which bloats up to suck in more water according to storage requirement. Designed specifically for rural market, these tanks cost upto 35 per cent lesser than regular plastic water tanks but store more water.

These expandable water tanks has been developed by combining virgin polymer with food grade rubber to give it the extra elasticity, the company release stated.

Polyfoam has drawn up an ambitious plan to reach out to the remotest of villages through alliances with panchayat heads. Company director Hemant Jain said, rural marketing of the tanks will begin this October with Panchayats tie-ups and thereafter a series of roadshows. The Panchayat heads of villages would be sensitized about the hygiene benefits of water storage for household and commercial benefits of large water reservoirs for farming during dry season.

The company expects to more than double its manufacturing capacity per month with the launch of these water tanks.
