A delegation of Nagina Woodcraft Industry met the Secretary to the Chief Minister Kamran Rizvi yesterday and informed him about the hardships being faced by the industry which employs about 10,000 craftsmen and earns about
Rs 40 crore in foreign exchange per year through exports.
The delegation, which included several master craftsmen, submitted a memorandum to the secretary demanding at least 14 hours of power supply in a day and necessary amenities to carry out their business smoothly.
Rizvi had come to Nagina in connection with the physical verification of the implementation of various government schemes in the town.
