Modi Group ties up with US firm to setup glass factory

GWALIOR: The Modi group has tied up with US- based company Guardian for setting up a glass factory at Malanpur Ghirongi industrial area in the neighbouring Bhind district.

Modi Group Chairman V K Modi and Guardian President Scott Thamson finalised the selection of 32 acres of land for the factory near a hillock at Ghirongi yesterday, sources in the know said.

The glass manufactured in the factory would be used in cars and big buildings.

The proposed factory will provide direct or indirect employment to around 2,000 people and work on it is likely to begin in the next six months.
