Liberty eyes Rs 60 crore from sanitaryware business
Bullish on its foray into the sanitaryware business, the Liberty group is expecting to touch a topline of Rs 60 crore in the first year itself from the new business.
“Our focus through the new business would be to provide customised bathroom solutions rather than just selling fittings which most of the domestic players are doing,” Liberty Whiteware national head Murali Rao told PTI.
He said the company was confident of doing business of Rs 60 crore this fiscal, even as it is looking for marketing alliance with a few Italian and German companies to expand its product portfolio.
“We are expecting the final arrangement with a few designer brands from Italy and Germany in another few months and would add products such as jacuzzis, bath-tubs and other accessories once the agreement finalises,” Mr Rao said.
The company has invested Rs 80 crore in setting up a manufacturing facility for the new business, in Neemrana, Rajasthan and recently opened a store in Gurgaon to provide customised bathroom solutions. The second Liberty Whiteware shop would be opened in Pune in a month’s time.
